Cathy Major has focused her travel business exclusively in the luxury sector since 2019, working with everyone from individuals to multi-generational families. Her business has grown almost entirely by referral. Her clients entrust her not only to tailor each trip to their interests, but also to open up possibilities they never knew existed. Cathy is
affiliated with Brownell, the oldest travel agency in North America, and a member of Virtuoso, the invitation only network of the world's top travel agencies. These partnerships give her exclusive access to experiences and suppliers around the world, the kind of connections that turn a good trip into an extraordinary one.
Before travel, Cathy spent fourteen years as a recruiter, mastering the art of networking and in depth research. These transferable skills have sharpened her ability to explore, access, and meticulously plan luxury travel experiences all over the world.
Cathy has the caring heart of a Midwesterner. She's a foodie who loves entertaining, especially for her husband Brian, son Alex, and daughter Madeline. If asked, "What makes an ideal vacation for you," Cathy's answer would include a beautiful beach, a special dinner spot, a spectacular view, and the company of family and friends.

As the Director of Operations at Gold Leaf World Travel, Kelly works closely with Cathy to ensure every client's digital itinerary is finalized well ahead of departure. She plays a critical role as each trip reaches its final stages, from curating dining and spa reservations on behalf of clients to confirming that all entry requirements have been met. Her attention to behind-the-scenes logistics ensures that every trip runs smoothly, with no detail overlooked.
A graduate of Purdue University’s Hospitality and Tourism Management program, Kelly also spent time living in Strasbourg, France, an experience that deepened her understanding of international travel and cultural nuance. This global perspective, paired with her attention to detail, allows her to approach every project with both precision and care.

Gold Leaf World Travel is a ‘full service’ company which means that we book all aspects of a client’s trip including hotels, airport transfers, visits, guides etc. This way we can ensure that we are able to deliver the best level of service at all times.
Yes, we can book your air, if you are booking a full trip with us. We do not book air as a stand-alone service.
No, we do not work with VRBO or Airbnb domestically or internationally.
